The Communications Manager works extensively with the Director, the Marketing Manager, five marketing interns, and the Programming Team to develop entertaining and informative content across the Festival’s communication channels– both inbound and outbound. These channels include social, email, print, press, blog posts, and advertising, as well as internal memos and newsletters.
Tom Tom programming is extensive and varied, so innate curiosity about the creative ecosystem of Charlottesville and a sophisticated awareness of larger national trends are integral parts of the job. Ability to write succinct and catchy copy is a must, as is having the ability to understand and implement strategic marketing objectives.
Of utmost importance: We are looking for an individual that is passionate about building community and building Charlottesville. A humble, humorous, team player is essential. We have grown a tremendous amount since 2012, and the passion and dedication of our team is a major part of that.
