Our 2018-2019 Tom Tom Fellowship applications are now open! We are seeking dedicated and passionate UVA students who are interested in getting a behind-the-scenes experience of working at a fast-paced, fast-growing, multidisciplinary festival. This year, Tom Tom is offering over 10 fellowships in marketing, programming, planning, production, and administration. Learn more about our different fellowship positions and apply today!



Available Fellowships


– Assist in development of community partnerships and sponsorship opportunities. 

Art Programming

– Strategize, manage, and market community art projects. 

Food Programming

– Develop relationships in the regional food community and coordinate food related events and workshops. 

Innovation Programming

– Organize events that revolve around innovation in health, business, education, and tech. 


– Assist with input and editing on social media, copy writing, and press outreach, as well as website development and graphic/video design. 

Student Outreach

– Cultivate partnerships with student groups, organize volunteers, and oversee the Buffalo Bureau (Tom Tom’s CIO).

Project Based Curriculum

Fellows assume primary responsibility for a strategic deliverable such as marketing, strategy, and day of production.

Cross Disciplinary

Fellowships are multidisciplinary and experiential, emphasizing projects with application to students’ curricular trajectory.

Mentorship & Networking

Tom Tom Fellows connect and form relationships with peers, UVa alumni and leaders (local and national) in the fields of their interest.

Extend the Classroom

While gaining real-world skills and experience, students can tie these projects into for-credit classroom deliverables.

Create Positive Change

Support and enhance a 501c3 that directly benefits the human and community needs.


All Fellows work 10 hr/week at the Tom Tom office in Downtown Charlottesville and receive paid semester stipends for their production work.
