The Iron Chef City Market Competition challenges four of Charlottesville’s top chefs to create their interpretation of Charlottesville’s Signature Dish featuring local ingredients. The catch? They’ll only have a budget of $60, 10 minutes to shop for ingredients in the farmer’s market, and 20 minutes to cook before presenting their dishes to a carefully selected panel of judges. The winner takes home the title of Charlottesville’s Iron Chef.

Chris wowed the judges with a dish that featured Pan Seared Duck Heart, Spicy Chocolate Granola Crusted Duck Liver, sautéed oyster mushrooms with purple scallions, wilted arugula and spicy strawberry rhubarb Jam along with this year’s secret ingredient, Gearhart’s Signature Blend Dark Bittersweet Chocolate.
