Abby Garrison serves on the Board of Cornerstones historic preservation organization and the City of Chattanooga’s Community Development Advisory Board. In addition to her role as chief curator at Causeway, Abby also designs new programs with a focus on social innovation and civic engagement. Before coming to Causeway, Abby was the Chief Operating Officer of Chattanooga Neighborhood Enterprise (CNE), a neighborhood revitalization and community development organization. She established the organization’s Pocket Park initiative, reinvigorated the rehab lending program, and facilitated a public design process for the St. Elmo neighborhood. Before CNE, Abby worked as a performance consultant with Community Impact of Chattanooga and gained nonprofit experience at the National Trust for Historic Preservation in Washington, DC, and River City Company in Chattanooga. Prior to graduate school, Abby lived in San Francisco where she worked at Williams-Sonoma, Inc.as part of their Emerging Brands team that launched Williams-Sonoma Home. A native Chattanoogan and Baylor School alumna, Abby graduated from Princeton University with a degree in Politics and holds graduate degrees from UNC-Chapel Hill in City and Regional Planning and an MBA from Kenan-Flagler Business School.
