Dahlia Lithwick

Dahlia Lithwick, award winning author and journalist. Lithwick is a legal correspondent, academic, former attorney and senior editor at Slate, where she writes Supreme Court Dispatches and has covered the Microsoft trial and other legal issues. She is the host of the podcast Amicus – Law and the Supreme Court Justices who Interpret It. Her work has appeared in the New Republic, Elle, Harper’s, The New Yorker, the Atlantic, CNN.com, The New York Times, and the Washington Post. She has appeared on CNN, ABC, The Colbert Report, and is a frequent guest on The Rachel Maddow Show.

Lithwick has testified before Congress about access to justice in the era of the Roberts Court. She is co-author of Me v. Everybody: Absurd Contracts for an Absurd World, a legal humor book.
Litwick won a 2013 National Magazine Award for her columns on the Affordable Care Act. Lithwick has twice received the Online News Association’s award for online commentary in 2001 and again in 2005, for a series she co-authored on torture, and was the first online journalist invited to serve on the Steering Committee for the Reporters Committee for Freedom of the Press.
She is a graduate of Yale University and Stanford Law School.
