Community and Government Relations Officer, City of Grand Forks, ND
Pete Haga has served as the Community/Government Relations Officer for the City of Grand Forks since November, 2002. He is the Mayor’s assistant, policy advisor and supervisor of the City’s Public Information Center, as well as liaison to the ND Congressional Delegation, ND State Officials and community organizations. Pete coordinates the GF Youth Commission, the city’s communication efforts, immigrant integration efforts, and on the leadership teams for federal grants related to ending childhood exposure to violence and to provide safe childhood visitation and exchange. Pete is a founding member of the GGF Young Professionals and North Dakota Young Professional Network and has served on the local United Way board and North Dakota Legacy Fund Initiative. Pete graduated from the University of Minnesota in 1994 with a BA in History.
